Hey There, I am

Dr Megha Cassandra

Dr Megha Cassandra | PhD | Certified Art Therapy Coach & Graphotherapist| Based in Bangalore, India

I’m Dr. Megha, a Certified Art Therapy Coach & Graphotherapist, helping individuals heal and grow through creative expression. Since 2020, I’ve been guiding wellness journeys through workshops, online sessions, and self-paced courses focused on mindfulness, self-awareness and emotional balance.

Despite earning a Gold Medal in my Master’s in Education, another degree in English Literature, a diploma in Interior Design, and even completing a Ph.D. with a teaching post at a reputed teacher training college—all in my 20s—something within me still felt unsettled.

There was always a longing within me for a deeper connection—a way to blend passion with purpose. Taking a bold leap of faith, I stepped into the world of Art and then Art Therapy, where colors and self-expression became my path to fulfillment. Here, I finally found what was missing—a space where creativity heals, emotions flow freely, and every brushstroke tells a story of growth, resilience, and inner peace.

From Academia to Art Therapy

"Healed by Art, Inspired to Serve"

Choosing to become a Certified Art Therapy Coach and Graphotherapist wasn’t a career switch. It was a homecoming.

Now, I help others uncover that same sense of connection—through therapeutic art, mindful creativity and emotional clarity.

Because healing doesn’t always begin with words — sometimes, it starts with a random scribble. Art has always been my safe space, but during a time of emotional overwhelm, mindful doodling and intuitive painting helped me find clarity and calm. That experience led me to Art Therapy — a practice that felt like home. I pursued certifications in Art Therapy and Graphotherapy, discovering how colors, forms and mindful movements can release emotions and nurture self-awareness.

Now, as a Certified Art Therapy Coach, I help individuals, homemakers and professionals reconnect with themselves through creative expression — no art skills required! Because healing with art isn’t about perfection. It’s about simply starting.

Why I do this

Why I do this

""From Healing Myself to Helping Others Through Art""

"Having personally experienced the profound healing power of art, I feel deeply called to help others discover their own emotional strength and creativity. Art has been my sanctuary through life’s challenges—a quiet guide that has helped me find clarity, connection, and inner peace. It’s this transformative experience that inspires me to share what I’ve learned with others.

My goal is to create a safe and nurturing space where people can explore, heal, and reconnect with themselves through the gentle and restorative power of creativity."

As I often feel, 'Art doesn’t just heal—it listens, it understands, and it reflects the parts of us we sometimes overlook.'

It doesn't help with Art Therapy in any way but...

I am also a Watercolor Artist!

I discovered watercolor painting during the lockdown—a time when I was struggling with a mental breakdown. What started as a way to cope and heal soon blossomed into a full-time profession. I taught myself and perfected the art during those quiet, uncertain months, finding peace and purpose in every brushstroke. By late 2020, I began teaching others, turning my personal journey into a shared experience of creativity and healing.

I taught Watercolor Courses from 2020 - 2025 on various platforms like, Skillshare, Creative Fabrica, Foxsy and my own website.

Painting with watercolors is just therapeutic and deeply freeing—a way to express emotions, tell stories and connect with your inner self, one color at a time. And I still paint everyday for myself!

Though I don't do watercolor as a profession anymore, Good news is- You can still access my courses! STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

What students thought about my art course!

Very soothing experience, was not expecting to uplift the mood so much after a few paint strokes. Colors do really have a way to calm you and make your creative brain going. This painting also will definitely help in making better decisions or designs at work I believe. Give once a try and feel the change.
